This drawing was made when my sister recently moved to a large foreign city -
She was in the centre of a crowd and yet totally alone.
Everybody seemed to have something to do and someone to do it with.
A very famous person can find themselves as the centre of the crowd
always surrounded by lots of people -
Known to everybody - not knowing those in the crowd.
Personal life becomes public property
and the need for a private life
can lead to withdrawal form social contact
